Dear Warren, K.I.S. and Grandkids, I had the honor of working with Lyn at Melton. Unlike Lyn who was slow to temper but quick to smile, I’d been advised to start the opposite way. Obviously things didn’t work easily that way in the classroom. Eventually I became one of the L&N teachers. I learnt a lot from Lyn. Not only in subject matter because neither was my major but more so in the culture within a classroom.
Lyn felt like a second Mum to me. It was easy to disclose your fears and frustrations to her and she just as easily swept them away with a hug or a witty line. To have lost Lyn and my own Mum within ten days of each other has been hard. So I am so grateful to you all for allowing me to participate via video.
Over the coming months and years, may your memories of her bring a smile to your face.
