From Nottinghamians RFC. So sad that you have gone so early in life Pudding. You were a huge part of Hamians and we have wonderful memories of your playing, touring and ability to sink a pint in less than 2 seconds. Play well my friend. Roger Wilson, President Nottinghamians RFC

Annie and family thank you for the opportunity to speak on behalf of Alastair and share his life view of Tom. A wonderful albeit an incredibly emotional service that Tom would’ve been proud of.
Thu, my Mum and I send our deepest sympathies to you and the kids. You can rest assured that Tom was an incredibly brave Man who fought this unforgiving disease head on and with a brute force he appears to of been known for on the Rugby field and boxing ring, definitely a Yorkshireman.
It really isn’t fair he’s been taken so soon as he had so much to give your family, friends, work and the community (he really was keen to pursue his passion for history and share his learnings as a teacher! He’d of been great).
I’ll certainly miss the chats, Dad tips, dry whit and random what’s apps about this mad world – my favourite Tom reply “I can’t”. I’d like to thank Joe and Jake for introducing us when you first moved to Australia. I’ll certainly miss a like minded Brit down under! We’ve lost a goodun. Vale Tom

As a friend of Jake, I met Tom only once. He left a huge, warm impression. After watching this moving service, it’s clear that this was normal for Tom. He will be sadly missed by so many.

We were hugely saddened by the news that Tom had departed this life. He was much loved by his large circle of friends from school. The celebration of his life showed very clearly that he packed a lot of fun and joy and love into his all too short life. Our thoughts and love are with Annie, the children , his Mum and Dad and his brothers. You will be forever young Tom. Sleep in peace.

What an amazing service. The speakers were all incredible and for the relative little I knew Tom, gave a perfect insight into the true gent he was.
The world will miss his particular brand of dry wit.
love and condolences to all of Tom’s family

A fitting tribute to a fantastic man. We had some great times together. I’ll never forget those Saturday morning drives to rugby, listening to the latest NOW album and trading war stories from the previous evening’s shenanigans. Tom’s commitment to everything he confronted will forever be an inspiration. We’ll meet again – until then, rest in peace mate
